Origin

This steep 57 hectare (141 acres) southwest-facing site features robust, clay-rich slate soil. Thanks to the forest above, it is optimally protected from wind and frost. Rieslings from the Graacher Himmelreich are racy, pithy, with good structure and elegant body.

Vinification

The grapes were harvested at the end of October and strictly sorted by hand. The 100% healthy material was then gently crushed and briefly macerated on the berry skins, which are rich in aroma and minerals. The must fermented slowly and spontaneously at low temperature, so that complex fruit aroma could develop perfectly. It then received an extended stay on its lees in stainless steel tank.
