Origin

This vineyard is south-west facing, encompasses 63 hectares (153 acres), and is composed of deep weathered grey slate soil. Wines originating in the Kinheimer Rosenberg impress with evocative minerality in delicate interplay with forward fruit.

Vinification

The grapes were harvested at the end of October and strictly sorted by hand. The 100% healthy material was then gently crushed and briefly macerated on the berry skins, which are rich in aroma and minerals. The must fermented slowly and spontaneously at very low temperature, so that complex fruit aroma could develop perfectly. It then received an extended stay on the lees, giving this fine and nuanced off-dry Riesling Auslese*** its distinct character.
