Vineyard

This classic vineyard site in the centre of the Middle Mosel, with south to south-west to west exposure, features weathered, deep slate soils interspersed with gravel and other sedimentary rocks. The wines are elegant and juicy, with yellow-fruit aromas, a gently spicy profile and a fine interplay of acidity.

Winemaking

The grapes were harvested at optimal ripeness. The berries were selected several times, both in the vineyard on the vine and in the cellar, and carefully plucked by hand from the stems, leaving only individual raisins in the end. These were crushed, macerated on the grape skins and, after gentle pressing, spontaneously fermented in small vessels.
