Origin

This classic Middle Mosel vineyard features deep soil with high levels of thoroughly-fragmented slate and fine particulate matter. Wines originating from the Brauneberger Klostergarten possess expressive minerality, terrific structure, and delicate fruit aromas.

Vinification

Meticulous vineyard management and stringent selection at harvest resulted in very healthy and fully ripened grapes. The clusters were almost completely destemmed, then macerated and fermented spontaneously for 4-6 weeks. After gentle pressing with a basket press, the wine was matured in French barriques for 18-24 months.
